I have been working in the professional theater since I was 17. I started in my hometown, Chicago, playing an improbable series of Milkmaids in various productions, and earned my Actors Equity card under the direction of Rondi Reed at Steppenwolf Theatre. I graduated from Northwestern University's Performance Studies Department with High Distinction, focussing on the performance and presentation of all kinds of different forms of literature, including fiction, sociology, anthropology, poetry, history, and, of course, drama. It has been my undeniable pleasure to delve into the work of writers, especially in collaboration, and to discover and respect the uniqueness of each writer's voice. I fell in love with the written word at an early age; at a Thanksgiving assembly in middle school I was asked to read a short scene from The Diary of Anne Frank, and since then I have wanted to bring the printed word to life!
I have had the incredible honor of working with some of the Theater's greatest living writers. Some of them: Sam Shepard, Tony Kushner, David Rabe, Lisa Kron, Sarah Ruhl, Theresa Rebeck, Sam Hunter, Jeffrey Hatcher, Paul Rudnick, Donald Margulies, Mary Zimmerman--and that's just a few--creating their characters with them and premiering their plays has been one of my greatest joys. I hope that I will soon count you among my actor-author collaborative successes! please visit my website for a more complete resume

Jenny has been honored by four Joseph Jefferson Award nominations for Best Actress, A Helen Hayes nomination for Best Actress, Backstage West Awards for Best Actress, a Goodman Choice Award for Best Actress, A Herald Angel Award for Best Actress, two Jeff Awards for Best Ensemble and a submission for a Guest Star Emmy for her work.
