My voice is feminine and youthful, thus I find my voice most suited in Young Adult or New Adult roles. As a former high school English teacher, I pride myself in my ability to engage a listener and create an immersive experience to grab their attention and bring the fictional world to life. I work to deliver an emotive performance with a variety of character voices, including a wide range of voices suitable for male characters. I feel a connection with each book I narrate, which translates to every production in my name. I am flexible with my authors and follow their lead with production requests. I use my technical skill to master every aspect of audiobook production to the required technical specifications. I have been narrating audiobooks for nearly 3 years. Before getting into narration, I was a high school English Teacher for 10 years. Additionally, I worked as a voice and performance coach for students in preparation for an oral recitation competition called Poetry Out Loud. Now a full-time Audiobook Narrator, my goal is to breathe life into a story through a performance that lifts the characters off the page and builds a world around the listener. I grasp the nuance of written-word and carry each piece as I transform it into spoken-word. I have a bright, youthful voice, and "engaging" and "energetic" narration style. As a former high school teacher, I love books marketed toward youthful audiences , so I mostly specialize in Young Adult, Fantasy, and Sweet Romance. I have great comedic timing and love any and all books where I get to use humor. My voice is also well suited for Cozy Mystery, Children's, Coming of Age, and Romantic Comedy. I am open to all genres except erotica. I am strong with character voices and developing a multi-dimensional character for any age or gender. I have experience narrating books from multiple first person POV (including several male perspectives) and can perform a wide-range of character voices and dialogue. When I am narrating, I become fully-immersed in the story and don't hold back. I have been told that I respond very well to stage direction and would love to work with Directors on future titles. I am extremely thorough in my prep for a title as my experience as an English teacher lends itself to strong character and textual analysis. I am personable and absolutely love working with new people. I recently started volunteering with the APA as a New Member Ambassador. I am available for individual contracts or series-work. I have a custom-built studio in my home and record on a Rode NT1a in Studio One using Punch and Roll. I am a wife and mother of two. In my free time, I bake macarons, read every book I can find, and go camping. I also like to tag along with my husband while he plays disc-golf (though I am not much of a player myself).
