My 2016 commercial VO Demo provides a brief overview of my capabilities. There are spots in here for advertisements, film narration, and some character voices.
I discovered my passion for acting at age 4 after my parents enrolled me in a local acting class for children. The craft stuck with me and I am now so proud and lucky to claim it as my profession.
I began my training at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois completing my Associates Degree and immersing myself in their theatre department. While studying acting at COD, I also performed in four of their mainstage productions. Here I also served as Vice President of the College's Phi Theta Kappa chapter. One of the most memorable experiences of my life, this position encouraged me to take on a more professional role in the campus and community. By promoting academic excellence, service, leadership and fellowship my team received seven awards at the International Convention.
Transferring to UNC Asheville allowed me to explore my Theatre degree further as well as my second major, Mass Communication. My studies in the drama department provided me with a background in performance, scene study, film acting, Alba Emoting, voice over work, publicity, set construction, box office and house management. As a journalism-focused, Mass Comm major, my courses provided me with an in-depth background in the world of communications covering newswriting, film appreciation and law & ethics. I began copy editing, which led to a position as Assistant Copy Editor with the campus paper, the Blue Banner. This experience also brought me a job as a proofreader for TEAM for Actors: A Holistic Approach to Embodied Acting.
As a graduate, I interned with O'Connor Casting Company gaining valuable behind the scenes experience into the many faceted world of casting. Following my internship, I joined YPAC as Customer Satisfaction Director, Community Relations Producer, Stage Manager and Acting Instructor. I recently left YPAC to devote more focus to my performance career as an actor, model, voice-over actor and writer.
There are quite a few. I encourage you to take a look at my website: http://rmorello3.wixsite.com/beccamorelloactor for a full resume, demos and photos! :)
