A Tale of Two Cities Introduction
I worked in theatre for many years, both on stage and behind the scenes in the sound department. These experiences on many different productions ranging from Charlotte's Web to Assassins taught me to inhabit characters, bringing to life words on a page. Meanwhile, in the sound department, I learned the importance of voice and sound to the audience's experience.
Although I am a novice at narrating audiobooks, I have been developing these skills for more than three decades, reading books out loud. I have done some reading in professional settings, others to my own children before bed. I have read all kinds of books to all kinds of ages from toddlers to senior citizens. However, storytelling has always been my passion. Whether to groups of friends or on the professional stage, I have honed the art of expression, pacing, and enunciation to bring stories and characters to life the minds of my audience. It is my passion and life's work to not simply tell stories, but to ignite the imagination of my audience and spark joy, courage, and hope.
