Cradle of Darkness

Category : Science Fiction & Fantasy
Language : English
Gender : Female
Accent : British-General British
Vocal Style : Hysterical
Performance Notes
I have denoted the style as 'hysterical' as the queen in this scene certainly behaves in this way. However, the sample also features the voice of an aging wizard and my default narrative style which is that of a storyteller.

Demonslayer

Category : Science Fiction & Fantasy
Language : English
Gender : Male
Accent : British-General British
Vocal Style : Frightened/Terrified
Performance Notes
The character called 'The Dancer' in this scene has been transported to a horrific dimension where he is interrogated by 'The Psychonaut.' The Dancer's voice is tortured and frightened at times, while that of the Psychonaut is interrogative. Demonslayer is a self-penned novel in the dark fantasy genre.

Journal of an outlaw

Category : Science Fiction & Fantasy
Language : English
Gender : Male
Accent : British-General British
Vocal Style : Comedic/great comic timing
Performance Notes
From Mick McArt's novel, Journal of an Outlaw, this is a different style based on a Pythonesque, Pratchett-like approach. Again, it features different voices, tones and accents.

Lies and Retribution

Category : Mysteries & Thrillers
Language : English
Gender : Male
Accent : British-Essex
Vocal Style : Rough/edgy
Performance Notes
This scene from a book I narrated for best-selling author, A.P. Bateman, features two London cops raiding an establishment owned by some POIs they are investigating. The style of dialogue by the cops is edgy whereas the perps have foreign accents.

Beast of both worlds

Category : Science Fiction & Fantasy
Language : English
Gender : Male
Accent : British-General British
Vocal Style : Intimidating
Performance Notes
The scene is from a short story I wrote and features the intimidating voice of a demon and an enchantress. The genre is horror.

Road to Redemption - variety of voices

Category : Mysteries & Thrillers
Language : English
Gender : Female
Accent : American-General American
Vocal Style : Storyteller
Performance Notes
The scene is from the novel I narrated for Puja Guha. It includes a variety of accents, including a female (US accent.)

Mycophoria - Horror

Category : Science Fiction & Fantasy
Language : English
Gender : Female
Accent : British-General British
Vocal Style : Engaging
Performance Notes
Taken from my horror book, Mycophoria, this features a dramatic scene and the voice of a woman in her late thirties (nearer the end.) The scene is quite bloodthirsty and indicative of the style I adopt for horror books.

Greetings. As an author you are no doubt looking for a narrator who can deliver an authentic, professional narration for your audiobook. Being an author myself, I know how important a decision this is. The tone of voice, diction, storytelling skill and rhythm all play a part in conveying the drama and emotional depth of your story. My default style is that of a storyteller, but I suppose I am renowned for a wide variety of different voices and accents. That is not to say I can't adopt less dramatic approaches but it's what I enjoy doing most. Here are my credentials and experience: • Having taught for thirty years in English secondary schools I have developed excellent diction, the ability to sustain feeling and variation of tone during public speaking (both to adults and youngsters) in such a way as to engage the listener. In fact, many of my lectures included stories and anecdotes despite the fact that I was teaching science! • I have also been a live performer, acting as wedding compere and engaging audiences in both solo and group performance work. In this respect I have an eye to appropriate dramatic delivery and pace of narrative. - I am a horror/dark fiction author and my default niche is the ‘darker' side, so to speak. However, my stories contain thriller, mystery and romance elements so my reach is quite broad. I am also happy to narrate kids and teens books. - My sound engineering experience includes production of tracks for bands and solo performers from my home studio, together with sound mixing at gigs. Together, these give me a solid background of modern recording techniques that can bring out the best audio production for your project. Moreover, I am a musician and can produce incidental background music if required. However, it is likely that sound effects and music will not be appropriate for most fiction projects as ACX encourages a minimalist approach featuring voice-only production. - I am well used to meeting work deadlines having written and worked with editors at Harper Collins over the last five years. You can always be assured of a timely and reliable service. Thank you for reading this resume. I hope it tempts you to consider the services I offer and I look forward to developing a fruitful working partnership with you.

Reviews of Lusus naturae, a self-narrated novella: I laughed out loud regularly. The plot had me guessing incorrectly often enough to make this a very satisfying read. It's a testament to the author's skill that he squeezed so much content into a two-hour story. Excellent. J. Werbeloff author of ‘Obsidian Worlds' and ‘Defragmenting Daniel.' If Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett had a baby, that baby would be Tom Adams. LOVED this book so much I devoured it. Michael Ferguson, avid audiobook listener Review of Acadia: ... the narrator had a good pace, even tone, and put emphasis on the right places... (audible customer.)
