Camille Sherman is a professional opera singer based in Portland, OR. After training at some of the nation's most prestigious institutions, including The Boston Conservatory and The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Ms. Sherman has been seen on stages across the country. Most recently, Camille has served as a Portland Opera Resident Artist for two years, performing leading and supporting roles in their main stage season, as a soloist in concert, and in recital. Previously, Ms. Sherman has performed with Pensacola Opera, the Janiec Opera Company at Brevard Music Center, Berlin Opera Academy, and as a concert soloist with Naples Philharmonic, Nashville Opera, and the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra. Camille has garnered acclaim in several competitions, most notably as a National Semi Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. In addition to her classical vocal training, Camille is an experienced pianist, flautist, and musical arranger. She has trained and performed in Italian, German, French, Spanish, and Russian. She comes from a musical family, with a line of singers going back generations on her mother's side, a professional bassist for a father, and a twin sister who is a professional sound engineer. Before beginning her classical training, Ms. Sherman began a rich musical education in jazz, musical theater, classic rock and folk, and contemporary music.
