Enthusiastic Young English Girl and Snobby Teacher (A Gender Inappropriate Princess Bride)

Category : Fiction
Language : English
Gender : Female
Accent : British-General British
Vocal Style : Ingenue voice
Performance Notes
This voice sits comfortably in my range and is based on both Lydia from the BBC Pride and Prejudice miniseries and my own portrayal of Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest. It is engaging, playful, romantic, confiding, and even a bit naughty. It can be adjusted slightly younger for children's books.

Stephanie Ann Foster holds an MA in Shakespeare Education through the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon and an MFA in Children's Literature from Hollins University. She toured with a theatre-in-education company for four years during which time she taught and performed on both US coasts, in Canada, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, the Philippines, and South Korea. Next she spent four years in the classroom as a credentialed British Literature and Theatre Arts instructor. She recently directed a youth production of Pericles at the American Shakespeare Center and is currently a Teaching Artist Fellow with the California Shakespeare Theatre. She performs in theatres all over the Bay Area, in a wide rage of ages, voices, and even genders; her passion is for making literature tangible.
Stephanie Ann is currently branching out into recording work. Her up-to-date stage resume (as well as video reel) is available here: www.StephanieAnnFoster.com
Stephanie holds two Inland Theatre League awards.
