She was also presented with the David P. Goodwin Lifetime Commitment Award in 2009, due in part to her consistent pro bono media and production work on Easter Seals' behalf. While managing Bedford Community Television, she garnered several Northeast PEG Access Awards in 1999 and 2000 for her work and programs by producers she had trained. While serving in the Boston media market as the senior reporter and news anchor for WMUR-TV in Manchester, NH, she was recognized with various Associated Press and Broadcast Association Golden Mic awards for specials and documentaries she wrote, produced, and narrated, as well as news coverage. She was also named New Hampshire's Favorite Media Personality for 9 years. While upgrading her education and earning the Master of Science in Corporate and Organizational Communications at Northeastern University in Boston, MA, Cathy was recognized with the highest academic achievement award upon graduation in 2009. She previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing at Southern New Hampshire College in Manchester, NH and was a Speech and Theatre major at Stetson University in DeLand, FL.
