The Zombie Survival Guide, by Max Brooks [EXCERPT AS VOICE SAMPLE]

Category : Nonfiction
Language : English
Gender : Female
Accent : American-General American
Vocal Style : Professorial
Performance Notes
The Zombie Survival Guide is both a comic, deadpan parody of the non-fiction "how to" genre *and* a book chock full of great (real) tips on general survival in a world gone mad. My narration walks the line of a genuine educational text, with just a hint of the tongue-in-cheek nature of the spot-on writing.

Socks, by Beverly Cleary [EXCERPT AS VOICE SAMPLE]

Category : Kids
Language : English
Gender : Female
Accent : American-General American
Vocal Style : Storyteller
Performance Notes
Socks is a family cat who has his world turned upside-down when a new baby comes home. The story is clever and engaging; it's simple enough for younger kids to follow, but not so simple that adults will be bored. Beverly Cleary's smart sense of humor shines through my narration, mostly from the point of view of our hero, Socks the cat.

Specialties: ~Conversational naturalism. ~Making sense of complicated language and vocabulary. My experience as both an actor and a director allows me to see both the forest *and* the trees. As an actor, I am well-versed at the detail of character creation and embodiment; and as a director, I know that the overall scope and journey of a story is just as important as individual details. The balance of both halves are vital to create the whole. Dialects/Accents: American, standard. American, regional (southern, New York, others). Standard British. Irish. (Also a quick study of others.) I am an avid reader and audio-consumer, and enjoy a wide variety of genres. I am enthusiastic about promoting my own work, and have a multiple-stream social media presence.
