Performance Notes
This is a sample of me reading "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" by J.K. Rowling. This showcases my ability to switch quickly back an forth between characters, as well as my ability to imitating various regional and international dialects. It also shows my ability to show different age ranges as well. This chapter features the inner monologue of Harry Potter (done with a general American accent), while he is eavesdropping on a conversation between Professor Dumbledore (elderly British dialect), Professor McGonagall (mature British dialect with Irish lilts), and Madam Pomfrey (Adult British Accent).

Performance Notes
From Mo Willem's "Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus" - this showcases my character voices and youthful energy.

I have been a singer, actor, voiceover artist and puppeteer for over 15 years. While I have worked all over the United States (including Walt Disney World), I primarily perform in my hometown of Chicago IL. My love for narrating began as a nanny many years ago. I loved being able to "do all the voices" at story time for the various family I would babysit for. I am currently a member of the podcast Throwing Shade through Eclectic Full Contact Theatre and can be heard voicing many different characters. As a professional singer and voice teacher I can manipulate my voice in many different ways and love doing impressions. I also have a very good ear for accents so in additional to my native general American accent, I can also perform an English accent (both Proper RP and Cockney), German, Italian, Japanese and Mid-Trans Atlantic (Katherine Hepburn). I can also voice a wide age range including little children all the way to elderly. For more information please visit www.MonicaSzaflik.com I look forward to working with you!
I have had the pleasure of working for dozens of theatres throughout the Midwest as well as for Walt Disney World and even got to work with Stephen Schwartz. I have also performed in several on camera projects - many of which can be viewed through my IMDB page. Favorite on stage roles include Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Mimi Marquez in RENT and Helen Sinclair in Bullets Over Broadway. For a full list of roles and credits visit www.MonicaSzaflik.com
