When I bring voice to a book, I honor author, characters, and listener, ever mindful of the intimacy of these relationships. My training as an actress (with an emphasis on Classical and Physical Theatre styles) was an excellent foundation when I began my VO career in 2000. When I prepare a book, I draw from Voice and VO experience, but also from my Physical Theatre background. The qualities of movement that create character, setting, 'texture', and narrative tone transfer to qualities of sound (tempo, volume, suspension, bound/free, strong/light, for example). I have always loved books, and as an avid audiobook listener and a reading volunteer in schools and nursing homes, I know the tremendous impact a voiced text can have.

She's more than a voice actor and/or producer. She's a valuable team member who works conscientiously to produce the best possible audio book. I've worked with several narrators, and Holly is one of the few who produces sound files that are true to the text and usually without any kind of error. " Author Jacqueline Rhodes wrote, "I'm sitting here blubbering, just having finished to the final chapters. You did such a wonderful job. I can't thank you enough."
