An excerpt from a German novel for children and teenagers, "Blauvogel", by Anna Jürgen

From a family of actors (stage and voice acting in dubbing), I am a native speaker of German with near-native fluency in English, following 26 years in the UK as lecturer in drama at several UK universities. I have a strong, flexible, and pleasant speaking voice for non-fiction and fiction texts in German and English with a slight German accent.
I have performed on stage from the age of six: policeman in a version of Cindrella at the State Theatre in Oldenburg, Germany, followed by the role of the boy in Waiting for Godot in a production of the Rheinisches Landestheater Neuss, Germany; at school, I played Sir Andrew in Twelfth Night, Bazillus in Peter Turrini's Der Tollste Tag, and the Ghost fo Dareios in Aeschylus's The Persians. I also directed, at school and university level and for one production in the London Fringe. I am now entering the world of audio recording.
