Performance Notes
A small excerpt from "The Book of Three", in the Chronicles of Prydain series by Lloyd Alexander.

I'm a lifelong actor and performer. Born and raised in northern Utah, I fell in love with the theater at age 6 when my parents took me to see a produciton of Richard III at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and I fell in love with books as my father read me "The Chronicles of Prydain" and "The Hobbit" as my bedime stories when I was even younger. As I grew up, my favorite memories of childhood are the imagination games I'd play with my best friend, Ty, and my older sister. Ty was the narrator of my childhood, and I'd act out my part in the adventures he'd create for us. Wonderfully, he has now become an accomplished children's, middle grade, and young adult author. His success in the genre futher inspired me to move past my stage career to try and find a niche in the audiobook world as well. After graduating with my B.F.A. from Utah State in 2014 and my M.F.A. from Lousiana State in 2017, both degrees in acting, I've now finally found myself at a time where I can make the most of my talents. This allows me to cast a wide net, and to return to a genre of performance I haven't had the time to pursue in recent years. I feel incredibly confident in my ability to tell a story using my voice, and am excited to dive into this aspect of a world I personally love so much. I'm no stranger to a microphone either. Though I have few credits in the actual realm of audiobooks at the moment, I have years of recording and podcasting experience. My Utah State athletics podcast, The Front Row Show, has surpassed the million download mark on iTunes. I come from a family of musicians and performers, and we have spent a great deal of time recording and putting out content. Though my current list of credits may be limited, I have great confidence in myself to be able to put out a product that I can be proud of, and will do the stories I'm telling justice. For further reference, some of my personal favorite and recently read or listened to books: Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere, especially Mistborn and The Stormlight Archives. The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander, The Legend of Drizzt by R.A. Salvatore, The Janitors Series by Tyler Whitesides, and The Adventure Zone by the McElroy Brothers (while not technically a book, I don't think there's a better example of audio story telling, nor a better example of the importance of character voices) At this point, I'm eager and willing to tackle any project that comes my way, and I look forward to working with you on whatever challange you may have for us.
