I have years of experience in public speaking as a professional tour guide at a Tennessee Civil War site. I am the co-creator and host of a podcast called "TENN in 20: Official Podcast of the Battle of Franklin Trust," where I discuss interesting aspects of Tennessee history in episodes that last about 20 minutes. In creating each new episode, I, along with my co-host, engage in extensive research and preparation, not only to make sure the facts we are presenting are historically accurate, but also to ensure that we are delivering the information in a succinct, engaging, and understandable way. I am extremely fortunate to have worked for years now in a career that has helped me hone my narration skills. I am comfortable on microphone, I can read scripted material in a natural way, and I believe I have learned how to convey the emotion of what I am presenting. Beyond my professional life, I've had a love of reading and of story since I was a small child. I remember getting lost within my imagination when I was young, dreaming up fantasy settings and superheroes. The Harry Potter books captivated me; I started reading Sorcerer's Stone when I was 11, and I grew up alongside Harry, Ron, and Hermione. When I was a little older, a friend introduced me to Stephen King's writing, and I remember carrying The Stand from class to class, taking in as much as I could during study hall or after finishing a quiz. And if it was not clear already, I love history. I just completed Ron Chernow's book on Ulysses S. Grant, which was wonderful. As a general rule, I try not to limit myself to any one particular genre. I'm equally comfortable reading fantasy/scifi, history, horror, philosophy, religion, young adult, etc. Thank you for considering me for your project. I know it was a labor of love and I can't imagine how stressful it would be to locate the right person to be its voice. Know that if we decide to work together, I will make every effort to care about the final product as much as you do. -Brad

TripAdvisor review for one of my tours, "Went yesterday with friends to learn the story of this historic place. Brad did an awesome job setting the stage for this place, this time, the family and the war. No bias, just the facts. Take the time to hear the story. It will give you a deeper appreciation of this area and the history that was witnessed here. Loved it!" - Bart P. iTunes review for "TENN in 20" podcast, "This is one of those podcasts that never disappoints. The topics are diverse, and Brad and Sarah bring energy and live to these amazing and sometimes obscure stories while sharing well-researched material.
