General narration demo with short clips of voiceover from PSA, educational, museum tour, and biography. Listen to get an overall 'feel' for my voice.

Born in the relatively accent-free city of Erie, PA, I began performing in community and regional theatre at age 13. I've studied at Chautauqua Institution in New York State, and at Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA. I'm also a classically-trained mezzo-soprano, with a smattering of Italian and French. I'm also fluent in Dog (according to my German Shepherd). I got involved in professional voiceover work in 1997, primarily in corporate, educational, and medical narration. I'm proud to include Microsoft, IBM, First Citizens Bank, and Norwegian Cruise Lines among my clients. I can also be heard doing political ads or public service announcements, but sometimes I get the opportunity to play! I've done some fun character work for commercials, and I love to get silly on kids' storybooks. For the techies: My soundproofed home studio is equipped with an AKG C214 (large-diaphragm condenser) Microphone, and a Degidesign Mbox2 Mini Interface. I joined ACX in June of 2012.
"The narration by Gillian Vance was fantastic. I love when a narrator can change up the characters' voices so that you have a better feel for the characters. Another female narrator added to my growing list to watch for and listen to for future books." - Audiobookreviewer.com "Gillian is a fantastic voice over partner.
