Studio Gear Review

Great audiobooks begin with proper recording tools and techniques, without which most common engineering issues can't be fixed. With such a wide range of products and software available, producers need guidance on which key pieces they should invest in to get the best recording. Further, creating a quiet recording space in your home is not out of reach with a few smart choices in recording space treatments. Viewers will be surprised at the cost of equipment used by our award-winning Audible Studios team and can get answers to their questions about the philosophy behind equipment choices and setup.

First, we'll cover the fundamental equipment that all producers need for a basic recording. Our team will present DAWs, microphones, headphones, and room treatment tools and budget, intermediate, and top-end rates. Then, we'll show you how to combine these tools in your recording space to create the best sound, and how to test your setup to identify problem areas to make adjustments. Our speakers will take questions throughout the program. This panel will be broadcast live, and panelists will take questions from viewers in the chat window.

This level of recognition is achievable within the audiobook community for narrators who are willing to put in the time to develop a positive, professional brand. In this session, we'll discuss how to select the right venue for anchoring your brand: while some narrators succeed on a personal website, others excel on a social media platform. Once you've selected the venue on which to build your brand, we'll discuss different ways to brand every day, from auditioning to networking to promoting completed projects. Lastly, we'll spend time on how to maintain a positive brand and avoid embarrassing gaffes that can draw attention away from your performance. This panel will be broadcast live, and panelists will take questions from viewers in the chat window.
